At the forefront of our ongoing commitment to community and country is our Public Affairs Committee (PAC). The PAC and its various subcommittees address a wide range of public policy issues, sponsor programs on current affairs with prominent speakers, and serve as the conduit for the Club’s involvement in civic affairs.

The PAC advances its work in many ways, including coalition building, supporting public information campaigns, sponsoring debates and forums, and testifying before legislative bodies on behalf of positions approved by the Board. 312.435.5946

Call For Nominations: 2017 Democracy in Action Award!

Do you know an Illinois high school junior or senior who is an outstanding civic leader? The Union League Club of Chicago (ULCC) seeks nominations for its 2017 Democracy in Action Award (DIAA). The DIAA is presented each year to students (attending public or private high schools) who have demonstrated exemplary leadership in their communities. Nominations are submitted by teachers familiar with the student’s work; honorees receive cash awards and are recognized at the ULCC’s Annual Meeting. Deadline for nominations is May 12, 2017. Please help us spread the word with high schools in your area and encourage teachers to nominate students who should be considered for this prestigious statewide award! For more information, contact ULCC Public Affairs at 312.435.5946.
